Laos

• Since 2005, Exotissimo has been involved in the community development of eight Northern Lao villages close to Muang Sing. Exotissimo Laos sells their tour by providing them direct access to domestic and international markets. All revenue is collected by the villagers themselves and a portion goes to the Village Development Fund.

• In 2004, Exotissimo has opened an eco-lodge along the Mekong River to create a market for local handcrafts while creating employment for the indigenous population. Two villages are currently involved and have built a school.

• Exotissimo has partnered with AFESIP (an NGO to help at-risk women) to support one social worker and fund training for two to three victims in Vientiane. This will support HIV/AIDS prevention campaigns among sex workers and inform them about human trafficking. Exotissimo has donated 4000 USD for this project alone.
