The Kingdom of Cambodia, famous for its splendid temples, endless rice fields and rough jungles. Located in the heart of Southeast Asia and bordering Laos, Thailand and Vietnam with the Gulf of Thailand on its south, Cambodia is arguably the jewel of the region. Undiscovered for centuries, its wealth of natural beauty and rich heritage continue to amaze and astound, with Angkor, the world renowned cultural heritage site dating back to the earliest days of cultured civilization, attracting visitors from all over the world. But the country has much more to offer than just the temples of Angkor. The remote provinces of Rattanakiri and Mondulkiri are well famous adventure destinations and the south coast of Cambodia remains unexplored with pristine beaches and resorts in front of the blue turquoise sea. As well, the Mekong River, running from northern Cambodia to the Southeast, is an important axis in the development of the country.
